Jane Win Jewelry: every coin a winner

Jane Win jewelry

In the ’80s, long before the term quiet luxury was coined, Bottega Venetta’s advertising campaign included the tagline, ‘When your own initials are enough.’ Rather than logos, it offered bags and accessories with signature woven leather and textures that could tastefully be integrated into any wardrobe. Jane Winchester Paradis can speak to the appeal of this, having worked with Calvin Klein Cosmetics, Barneys New York, and Lilly Pulitzer, all brands that won loyal followers through a signature style any wearer could adopt rather than logos.
When the well travelled, now-Philadelphia-based Paradis decided to venture out on her own and apply her design and marketing experience to a fine jewellery collection at 45, her goal was to allow a wearer to make each piece her own. Her coin pendants epitomize this, and the wearer can pick, mix and match coins, semi-precious stone charms, and chains to express her or his hopes, dreams, goals, and places around the world they love best. While Jane Win is best known for double-sided coin designs in 14 ct gold-plated sterling silver, traditional ·925 sterling silver versions of several designs are available. The collection also includes earrings, cuffs, bracelets, and bridal party gift ideas.
‘In 2017, I went to the Women’s March in Washington, DC and realized that, while I loved working at Lilly Pulitzer, I had been there 11 years and I wanted to build something of my own,’ she said at her Los Angeles trunk show at home store Rolling Green’s upstairs event space at Hollywood landmark Sportsman’s Lodge’s new shopping centre. ‘I wanted to create something from scratch, something original that connected with women … and I wanted my kids so see me do it (and help!).’
Customer favourites (fans include Jennifer Hudson, Miranda Lambert, and Camille Kostek) such as her Zodiac, Destination, and JW Original Pendant collections, as well as new 14 ct solid gold and heart and plumeria charms with inlaid or carved semi-precious stones, can be purchased at janewin.com.
